Dinner cruises on Sydney Harbour
A dinner cruise puts a set menu on a boat that moves slowly past the bridge and the Opera House. Three types dominate: a sunset dinner of about two hours, a later or premium evening on a larger boat, and a two-hour dinner on a tall ship. Departure times, wharves and prices differ, and the menu is part of the ticket.
Prices below are adult fares in Australian dollars for 2026. The children's menu applies to ages 4 to 15 on the large boats. Drinks, card fees and surcharges may be extra, so read the booking page before you pay.

Our picks: Sydney Harbour dinner cruises
Our take: the glass boat is the special-occasion choice. The all-inclusive cruise is simplest if you want drinks in the price, and the buffet cruise is the lower-priced option.

Times, wharves and seasons
When and where the boats leave.
Sunset dinner timetable
The sunset dinner runs from Wednesday to Sunday. From King Street Wharf 1, boarding is at 16:45, departure at 17:00 and disembarking at 18:45. From Circular Quay Wharf 6, departure is at 17:30 and disembarking at 19:30. Extra dates depend on the current calendar.
Sunset is seasonal
The cruise is named Sunset, Winter Twilight or Summer Glow depending on the season. A fixed departure time does not always match sundown, and clouds can hide the colours.
Tall ship departure
The tall ship sails for two hours, sailing daily from Campbell's Cove, and boarding starts 15 minutes before departure. Children aged 4 to 14 pay A$55.
Where you sit
A window seat is an optional extra, not part of every ticket. Your booking names the departure point. Open decks and wheelchair access differ between boats. On one of the large boats the Ocean Deck is accessible, while some outer decks can only be reached by stairs.
Menus and dietary needs
What the menus tell you.
Large-boat menus
Separate menus exist for the sunset, premium sunset, evening, premium evening and lunch cruises. The sunset dinner has 3 or 4 courses, and the evening dinner has 4. Look at the current menu for your date and ask about any allergy before you book. No menu can be promised free of allergens.
Tall ship menu
The Twilight menu has included butter chicken, vegetable curry, rice, salads and a chocolate hazelnut brownie, and the menu can change. Starters are not included from 1 April to 30 September. The menu mixes meat and vegetable dishes, so do not assume it is vegetarian or vegan.
Extra costs
Card payments can add 1.25 percent for Visa and Mastercard and 1 percent for PayPal. Catered cruises can carry a 10 percent surcharge on public holidays. Check drinks packages on the booking page.

Sydney Harbour dinner cruises: frequently asked questions
How much is a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise?
In 2026, the sunset dinner costs A$129 for adults and A$49 for children, with limited offers from A$109. The evening dinner is A$165, the premium evening dinner A$225 and the tall ship dinner A$119. Drinks and fees can be extra.
How long is the cruise?
The sunset dinner from King Street Wharf runs from 17:00 to 18:45, and from Circular Quay from 17:30 to 19:30. The evening dinner lasts about 2 to 3 hours. The tall ship cruise takes 2 hours.
Will I see the sunset?
Not always. The cruise is named after the season, and the departure time does not guarantee that it meets sundown. Weather can hide the sky.
Can I get a vegetarian or gluten-free meal?
Ask the operator before you book. The tall ship menu has meat and vegetable dishes with different dietary labels, so it is not a guaranteed vegetarian or vegan option.
Are dinner cruises wheelchair accessible?
It depends on the boat. The Ocean Deck on one of the large boats is accessible, but some outer decks have stairs only. Ask about your boat before you book.
Is sydneyharbour.org the official site for these cruises?
No. This is an independent guide and does not operate or sell the cruises it describes.
