Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb at a glance

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is a guided, secured climb on the bridge structure. The operator is BridgeClimb Sydney, and the base is at 3 Cumberland Street in The Rocks. The table below compares the eight climb types.

Prices are dynamic. They change with the date, demand and time of day, so the figures here are starting prices for 2026 and not fixed rates. A climb is not the same as walking across the bridge or visiting the museum in the pylon. Those are separate experiences, covered in the Harbour Bridge guide.

Which climb fits you

What changes between the types.

Summit climbs

Day, Twilight, Night and Dawn all reach the top. You spend about 2 hours on the bridge. The Dawn climb runs on limited dates and has the highest starting prices of the four.

Summit Insider

A shorter version of the summit climb. You spend about 1.5 hours on the bridge, and the total time is 2.5 hours.

Burrawa Aboriginal Climb

A summit climb with a First Nations storyteller. It takes 3 hours in total.

Ultimate

The longest option. You reach the top twice and spend about 2.5 hours on the bridge, 3.5 hours in total.

UnderBridge Walk

About 1 hour on the bridge, 2 hours in total, and you do not reach a summit. Choose it if height is a worry or the budget is tight.

Rules and what to bring

Children must be at least 8 years old. The child price applies from 8 to 15, and children need to be taller than 1.2 m. For exactly 1.20 m, ask the operator before you book. There can be up to 3 children per adult companion, and the companion must be at least 18.

Everyone takes a breath test. You cannot take part with a blood alcohol level of 0.05 percent or more. Wear closed shoes with rubber soles. Health conditions can rule out a climb, so read the operator's health and safety page before you pay.

Loose personal items, cameras and phones stay off the bridge, and lockers are provided. Staff take the photos. Arrive at least 15 minutes early at the base and bring valid photo ID if you are an adult.
